SLASH Interviewed On 'Rockline' (Audio)
November 17, 2010Legendary guitarist Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) was interviewed on this past Monday's (November 15) edition of the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" with host Bob Coburn. You can now listen to the program at RocklineRadio.com.
The deluxe edition of Slash's self-titled solo album was released on September 28. The three-disc set includes two CDs and a 52-minute DVD featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the album, performance footage from Australia and Los Angeles, video clips and more.
Slash says it was his wife Perla's idea to have Fergie tie him up and straddle him in the music video for Slash's new single, "Beautiful Dangerous". The guitarist told NME.com, "My wife had told her, 'You should tie him up and do all this stuff.' So she took my wife's word, and the next thing you know I'm tied to the bed." Slash had said earlier that the overall concept for the video, in which Fergie plays a stalker obsessed with him, was the BLACK EYED PEAS singer's idea.
He called the video shoot "an interesting time, but a lot of fun. She's really great to hang out with . . . I could think of worse things I could be doing that being tied down and straddled by Fergie."
Slash also called Fergie "the best female rock singer I've heard in the last 15 years."
"Beautiful Dangerous" is taken from Slash's debut solo album, released earlier this year.
In addition to Fergie, the set contains guest vocals from Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Cornell, M. Shadows and others.
Slash filed for divorce from Perla earlier this year in a Los Angeles court, but the couple recently reconciled and he withdrew his divorce petition. The couple have two sons.
